Terms and license

These terms cover buying our plugins on tachyolabs.com and the license to use them. They're written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
Tachyo Labs makes Vomidi and runs this website. You can reach us at tachyolabs@gmail.com.
Buying
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
Checkout is run by Link, a Stripe company, which is the seller of record for your order: it takes your payment, charges any tax, sends your receipt and handles payment disputes. Link's own terms apply to the payment. We give you the serial number and the downloads.
Your license
When you buy a plugin, we give you a license to install it and use it on up to three computers that you own or use, Mac and Windows mixed, for any music or audio you make, including commercial work. What you make with it is yours.
- Keep your serial number to yourself. Don't share it, sell it or post it.
- Don't copy, resell or redistribute the plugin, or remove or work around its licensing.
- Don't reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to.
- The license is yours, not transferable to someone else, unless we agree to it by email.
The plugin itself, its code and its design stay ours. You're buying a license to use it, not ownership of it.
Activation
A serial number has to be activated on each computer, which needs an internet connection once. After that the plugin works offline. When your computer is online, the plugin rechecks its license about once a month. To move a license, deactivate it on the old computer from the plugin's License panel, or ask us. What activation sends is listed in our privacy policy.
Trial
Every plugin can be tried free for 14 days with every feature. After that it keeps opening, so saved sessions don't break, but its main features stop until you enter a serial number.
Updates
Updates within the version you bought are free: buying Vomidi 1 includes every 1.x update. A later major version, such as 2.0, may be a paid upgrade.
Refunds
You can have a refund within 14 days of buying, as our refund policy describes. A refunded or disputed purchase ends its license.
No warranty
We work hard to make our plugins reliable, and the trial is there so you can check one on your system before you buy. Beyond that, the plugins are provided as they are: as far as the law allows, we don't promise they're free of errors or suit every system. Keep backups of your work.
Liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability for anything to do with a plugin is limited to what you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost data, lost work or lost income. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Ending the license
The license ends if you break these terms, or if the purchase is refunded or disputed. You can stop using a plugin and uninstall it at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you bought applies to that purchase.

VST is a registered trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Audio Units, Logic Pro and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc. Ableton Live is a trademark of Ableton AG. Other names belong to their owners.
